These seminal figures in photography, all of whom worked in the roughly delineated period between the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries, forever marked how we think about landscape and urban photography, as well as portraiture. Many of these pieces were donated by Stieglitz himself, who was a dedicated supporter of photography during his lifetime.
