Rothenberg returns with more of her patented expressionistic paint-handling and silhouetted imagery. Among the subjects depicted in the 13 new paintings here: a raven perched on a tree branch, and the large profile of a head outlined in gray and black. As usual, the artist mines the tactility of her medium to extract emotional truths about perception, memory and the human condition.
