Øvlisen creates what could be described as a punkier version of John McCracken's sleek minimalist slabs: The Danish artist covers monolithic forms made of polystyrene foam with auto-body lacquer. The show title refers to how his mother's attraction to the appearance of tomatoes helped her overcome her disdain for their taste.
