“Tibor de Nagy Gallery Painters and Poets”

The venerable midtown venue is celebrating its 60th anniversary, with a look back at its formative years during the 1950s and ’60s—the high-water mark of the New York School it did so much to foster. The era was characterized by a remarkable collaboration between artists and poets, and the gallery recalls the resulting cultural ferment by bringing together paintings by such artists as Helen Frankenthaler and Joan Mitchell with original poetry collections by the such literary lights as Frank O'Hara and Kenneth Koch.
