Tim Maul, "The Girl's and Boy's Slides: Photographic Works 1973–81"

Couched in a kind of tidy formalism, Maul's photographs have a prosaic immediacy, which, upon further inspection, raises surprising questions about the nature of perception, and about how we think we see the world. This show presents examples from early in his career.
