Tris Vonna-Michell, Postscript III (Berlin)

Vonna-Michell, a short-lister for the 2014 Turner Prize, presents the latest in a series of slide shows accompanied by soundtracks of the artist narrating a personal history of Berlin as it relates to his family's experiences. However, the point of the piece isn't to tell the story so much as to interrogate it, as Vonna-Michell calls into question not only various details of memory, but also the images he uses to represent them.
