Time Out says

Over the past 20-odd years, Muniz—the Arcimboldo of postmodern irony—has photographed all manner of subjects (famous paintings, self-portraits) that he cobbled out of other stuff—everything from dust to garbage to powdered pigment. The results have hovered at the Lagrangian point between Richard Prince's rephotography and William Harnett's trompe l'oeil painting. In his latest series, "Pictures of Magazines 2," Muniz uses texts and images torn from books and magazines as his palette, to re-create such iconic images as Van Gogh's Wheat Field with Cypresses.
