Kurtz's figurative sculptures of everyday people on the street (captured with the artist's iPhone) are made with torn sheets of newspaper laid over armatures of wood and wire; they suggest what might happen if hyperrealist sculptor Duane Hanson squared off in a fight with affichiste Raymond Hains.
