Xaviera Simmons, "Wilderness"

On view are new photographs that allude to the American Western landscape tradition, especially the genre of the lone individual in untamed nature. Additionally, the artist presents an installation of hand-lettered wooden scraps resembling trail markers. Instead of directions, they offer a sort of stream-of-consciousness text.
