Zipora Fried, "Salon Noir"

The gallery presents new drawings and photos by Fried, whose work was included in the 2010 Greater New York show at MoMA PS1. Among the offerings: black-and-white snapshots of the artist as a child, in which her face is obscured with wool clumps stitched through the photo paper, creating an unsettling, werewolf-like effect.
