Time Out says

You may have noticed that the Internet now is all about the cascade of GIFs, tweets and infinite-scroll listicles. The Morgan Library & Museum nods to that method of consumption with its new photography department’s first-ever show, “A Collective Invention: Photographs at Play.” The 85 images are arranged as a sequence in which each photo shares an element with those to its left and right. The result is like flicking through a Tumblr that draws connections across two centuries of photography.
