"Academic Freedom in the 1960s"

Author and Yeshiva University professor Ellen Schrecker (Lost Soul of Higher Education) will give the keynote address during this daylong conference, which explores the influence of special-interests groups on academic freedom. Later a pair of panels discuss the impacts of the civil-rights movement and the Vietnam War on college campuses.
