This Carroll Gardens park boasts two playgrounds—a small, fenced-in area for tots ages newborn to four, and a big kid area for youngsters ages five to 12. In the summer, a concert series brings popular childrens' musicians to the space for free performances. Plus, tykes can frolic in the sprinklers (summer only!).

This park is at the cross-roads of several neighborhoods, and has been a safe haven for new families for more than 30 years, thanks to the civic dedication of the Friends of Carroll Park. CP is the piazza of Carroll Gardens- everyone passes thru, sometimes sitting for a bit, meeting old friends or spending long stretches with kids playing. Great, safe open space- formerly under the direction of the inimitable Kathleen Henderson, recently retired. A wonderful spot of green and terrific volunteer site.
