The New York Public Library, in honor of its centennial, has dug through its remarkable archives for artifacts that include the first Gutenberg Bible brought to U.S., Charlotte Brontë’s writing desk, a handwritten score by John Coltrane and Charles Dickens's personal copy of David Copperfield. A second gallery is dedicated to items unique to the NYPL's history, and documenting transformations the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building has undergone in its 100 years.
