Explorers Club Open House

Since 1904, this organization has promoted the scientific exploration and research of land, sea, air and space. Members of the Explorers Club include the first person to reach the North and South Poles, as well as the first to summit Mount Everest. Today the Explorers Club hosts its annual meeting and daylong open house, which features afternoon lectures (on the Mayan 2012 prophesy and the caves underneath San Men Hai, China), a book sale and high tea, the latter of which wouldn't be complete without a nip of whiskey.
