"Hero, Villain, Yeti: Tibet in Comics”

For centuries, pilgrims—including Porky Pig, Batman and Doctor Strange—have traveled to Tibet to seek spiritual guidance. The Rubin Museum of Art explores this common rite of passage in this exhibit, which displays 50 comic books, most of which illustrate fantastical trips Western characters have taken to the Himalayas.
