For the past two years, Kevin Maher has shamelessly aired his obsessions—with robots, werewolves and even Don Knotts—during this comedy-variety show complete with video clips, unusual props, guest speakers and themed snacks. Tonight, hear him extoll the virtues of oft-dismissed genres, such as B-horror films and 1950s pulp paperbacks, and listen as creative guests defend their crafts. Among them is Ben H. Winters (Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, Android Karenina), who'll discuss why the genre of "Mash-Up" literature makes it perfectly appropriate to add robots to classics like Anna Karenina.
