At this event—inspired by the late Manning Marable’s new book, Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention—writer Nelson George will present clips from films about Malcolm X. Before the screening, Queens BP Helen Marshall, a former neighbor of Mr. X, will speak; following it, Melvin Van Peebles talks about his experience with the leader with Warrington Hudlin.
