In Manhattan Projects: The Rise and Fall of Urban Renewal in Cold War New York, author Samuel Zipp traces the histories of four post–World War II building projects in Manhattan: the United Nations headquarters, Stuyvesant Town, Lincoln Center and a swath of public housing in East Harlem. Tonight, he’ll discuss the significance of these endeavors with professors from Middlebury College, CUNY and Princeton.
