"Nubia: Ancient Kingdoms of Africa"

NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World looks at the oft-referenced, but little-understood culture of Nubia, a region stretching from the Sudan to southern Egypt and lasting from 3200 to 400 B.C. More than 120 objects from this period—some lent from the nearby Metropolitan Museum of Art—will be on display.
