"Second Thoughts on the Memory Industry"

The New York Institute of the Humanities holds a daylong symposium to analyze the ways in which we commemorate, memorialize and document the past. Speakers include former Paris Review editor Philip Gourevitch, artist Eric Bogosian, authors Art Spiegelman and Francine Prose, as well as a performance of Memorial City, Ben Katchor and Mark Mulcahy's new short opera.
