Sharing the Streets: Buses, Bikes and Pedestrians tour

Meet at the select bus stop outside the Whitehall Terminal, at the corner of South and Whitehall Sts. Subway: N, R to Whitehall St; 1 to South Ferry. In celebration of Streets Month at the Municipal Arts Society of New York, Cate Contino of the Straphangers Campaign, Caroline Samponaro of Transportation Alternatives and Nancy Gruskin of the Stuart C. Gruskin Foundation lead a tour that examines the benefits and pitfalls of the city's reconfigured streets with newly paved bike lanes and pedestrian malls. Pack along a MetroCard as the tour includes bus and subway rides.
