“Silent Service: The Story of the USS Growler Submarine”

As great as museums are, sometimes you can deal with only so much art or natural history. Occasionally you just need to see something that patrolled the frigid oceans off of the Soviet Union from 1958 to 1964, carrying with it four Regulus I cruise missiles (each capable of atomizing an entire city). Guided tours of the USS Growler are now happening every Saturday morning at the Intrepid Museum.
