The MLK Serve-a-thon

Locations vary; visit nyccah.org to register. Participate in the New York City Coalition Against Hunger’s local project for the nationwide Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (mlkday.gov). Participants will offer a helping hand to 30 different food pantries and soup kitchens citywide, preparing and serving meals, helping with general soup-kitchen maintenance and assisting in beautification (painting, cleaning, reorganizing the pantry, adding shelves, etc.); each project is dictated by the individual needs of the facility.
