Time Out says

A marvel of modern engineering and architecture, Pennsylvania Station opened in 1910 boasting a McKim, Mead and White design and underwater tunnels linking Manhattan to the Pennsylvania Railroad for the first time. The building was later demolished to create Madison Square Garden with the station housed underneath. With plans for a new Moynihan Station to take Penn's place, the Transit Museum is showing images of the original structure along with designs for the future one.
