"Vertical Urban Factory"

Curated by architectural historian Nina Rappaport, this exhibit uses photographs, models and films to chart the evolution of the factory. Locations covered include the first automated assembly line, built in Detroit by Henry Ford, American Apparel's vertically integrated Los Angeles base, New York structures such as the Domino Sugar plant, and conceptual factories of the future.
