“Woodcuts in Modern China, 1937–2008: Towards a Universal Pictorial Language”

This exhibition illuminates the evolution of the modern Chinese woodcut (which uses the Western technique of printing with oil-based ink) from the 1930s to the present, as well as the influence of these pieces on communist art as a whole.
