Hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z is a co-owner of this multimillion-dollar sports lounge. The DJ’s jams are infectious enough to inspire some rump shaking, but this is not a dance club. Rather, it’s a retreat for those who appreciate another kind of fancy footwork—that of athletes. Gargantuan projection screens display sporting events and lower-level booths feature smaller plasma monitors—just tell your server which game you want to watch.

I don't really get the buzz around this place. I was not impressed. The food was mediocre and drinks were nothing special. We had reserved seating in the white stadium seats behind the bar. Yellowed white seats with smudged glass was definitely worth the $1000 minimum to sit there, not! There are far better places to check out in NYC. I wouldn't make this one a priority.
As I understand it, this is Jay-Z's club. Or he started it or something. I'd say this place is a nicer design, but a pretty average, forgettable experience overall. The food was forgettable, except for the cocktail wieners (which didn't fit the slightly upscale design of the place, and which are never recommended). The layout was interesting, in that it is sort of like a stadium of bleachers descending on the bar, so you could be one or two stories up if you were in the back of the bar. The music was fine. The location is good - right in Gramercy, just steps from the subway.
I love this place! Not your typical sports bar, more upscale. Very chic. The decor is amazing! Even the bathrooms are fancy. Lots of mirrored glass everywhere, there are flat screen TVs and about three floors in the venue. The DJ was bumpin! I came on a Saturday night. You could either find room to dance or chill on one of the couches and watch the game or have a drink. The food and drinks were really good and reasonably priced. Especially for NY standards. I hear they have open bar specials on Friday, so I’d have to go back for that. I will go back here any chance I get. Great vibe.
