No bar has a better collection of ’70s lunch boxes, and the rollicking jukebox ain’t half bad, either. Recreational opportunities abound at roomy Ace (two pool tables, Big Buck Hunter), and the 2-to-7pm happy hour, six days a week, is perfect for the serious afternoon drinker (14 beers on tap let you keep the pints rotating). Beautiful locals are attracted by the clublike exterior; inside, the pool-hall atmosphere makes it an excellent place for a birthday party or just a beer among friends.

Hit this place up on a Saturday night and you'll find a loaded bar. It get's very crowded, very fast. But for good reason. Great service, great drinks and a fun atmosphere.

This bar is one of my favorites in the East Village, not only is there plenty of space for big parties BUT you can also order food here (always a plus) the bartenders are very friendly, the seating is ample and the games fun and cheap.

Ace Bar has everything you could ask for in a dive: unassuming entrance; dim lights; cheap drinks; lots of room; and a solid selection of bar games.

It's one of those old faithful spots in a land surrounded by crowded, subpar bars and high-end cocktail dens.

ACE bar is one of my favorites in the city. Shockingly more spacious than any other drinking spot in East Village, ACE bar has a very down to earth vibe. The beer selection is a bit lacking, but they make up for it in quality bar games: darts and pool among the favorites. Personally, I love showing off my sick skee ball skills and generally enjoying the elbow room toward the back of the bar.
