Neighborhood hipsters seem to have taken up permanent residence at Barrio Chino’s rough-hewn wooden bar. The venue’s goal of giving tequila the sipping credibility of Scotch may be undermined by the jicama or lime garnishes and the accompanying glass of sangrita (a tomato-citrus nectar)—but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Fifty tequilas are available ($7–$40 per glass), and tacos from the bar menu help soak up all that booze.

Good selection of drink options on their Happy Hour Menu. We came with a networking group of about a dozen of us but we were early enough to beat the crowd and really have the place to ourselves around the bar. The food was great. Tacos were excellent and the chips and guac were excellent. Definitely would recommend this place as an option.
