Bedlam

The owner of East Village gay bar Eastern Bloc branches out with this hetero-friendly, Victorian-themed cocktail den. The decor references “curiosities” of the era, with anatomical textbook illustrations serving as wallpaper and taxidermied animal heads dotting the two-room space. Original cocktails include the Bedlam Cup, with Pimm’s, cucumbers, lemons and elderflower liqueur, and the Sagamore House (Maker’s Mark, cherry liqueur, bitters and Lillet Rouge).
