Joining the ranks of Long Island City beer havens (Alewife, Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden), this gargantuan 220-seat suds depot gets its Central European focus from Prague-expat owner Marek Chatrny. Beers are pulled through 13 draft lines—configured differently based on the type of beers inside—and include lesser-known Czech and Slovak forms like mliko (a pilsner with sweet, milky-white foam) and an ezané pivo, a dual-gradient cup that spills a dark lager over the top of a light pilsner. Drinkers can slide into expansive, communal wood tables to munch on biergarten standards that pair with their beers, including soft pretzels, sausages and fruit dumplings.
