Big Bar has a big-time mellow vibe and a big-time groovy crowd, all in a very small space just 5 booths and 11 stools. Soft red lighting, a smooth soul soundtrack and muted conversation create the ambience of a private club, but there’s no velvet rope in sight. And while the place is 13 years old, it’s still largely undiscovered. Friendly, expert bartenders add to the downplayed style.
