Brandy's Piano Bar
If a beer-soaked watering hole doesn’t relax you after a long week at the office, this UES piano bar just might. The exuberant musician on the creaky upright bangs out favorites ranging from Bette Midler to Les Miz, while the weathered cocktail waitress darts between the bar and cramped tables. Boozers may be tempted to sing along; boost your courage with a powerful martini, a dollar off during happy hour (4–8:30pm).

Though the drinks aren't great and you may have to wait a little bit to get in line, Brandy's is definitely an experience everyone should take part of in NYC. This piano bar turns into a bar sing-along as the night goes on. Try to get there not too early but not too late so you can try to get a seat at the front. Some nights can be dead, but other nights can be insanely fun. Looking forward to coming back!

What an interesting spot.

I was in the area, enjoying a night on the town. I decided to venture to Brandy's. It's been on my list for a while and I wanted to check it out. I arrived a little after 8:30pm, deciding to enjoy a drink before the show started. The bartender was very nice & informative, sharing his experiences about the establishment.

I told him that I didn't expect the place to be a small bar, but more like a dressed up Broadway-esque establishment decoration-wise. He took no offense and said others have also had the same expectation, yet it didn't deter them from enjoying Brandy's.

The tunes were amazing. Many great voices. There wasn't a bad singer in the house. Broadway tunes, some recent top 40, tunes from the 50's - 80's. It was all incredibly enjoyable.
I truly had a good time at this place.
