Time Out says

Taking over the space from Noa, a closed tikki bar, the young Irish owners of Bua (Irish for victory) quickly stripped away the tiki-ness, leaving behind an exposed brick lounge area with a garage door that swings open to let the outdoors in. With freshly stenciled walls and beers like Hefeweisen on tap, it’s not a typical Irish bar, though they do expect to add standard pub grub such as burgers eventually. On the sidewalk, there's a porch with rattan couches, perfect for watching the pedestrian traffic near Tompkins Square Park.

Okay the place is good but the bartender is a racist prick! He made a big deal about serving us and refused us drinks. I would expect you to have the sense to employ non racist people.

Little bar with delicious food and great happy hour deals! Very tasty and warm - definitely looking forward to a brunch on the patio now that the weather is getting warmer!

I heard about this bar because they have a solid happy hour and grilled cheese, and they practice what they preach. I thought Bua was the perfect chill place to drink away a Saturday with food you actually want to eat.

I'm looking forward to coming back here during the summer when the outdoor seating is open, but I sent a snowy Saturday here and was pretty damn happy.

Any time I am in the St Mark's area, I HAVE to stop at Bua. The happy hour is great, drinks are delicious, and the fried chicken sandwich is insane. Go, drink, eat. You will enjoy.
