Leave the overhyped, overcrowded Campbell Apartment to the Metro-North crowd; the low-lit Carnegie Club is classy and quiet. A bartender in pinstripes expertly mixes classic cocktails, such as the My Way manhattan (Jack Daniels on the rocks with “no vermouth, no bitters and no cherries”). On Saturdays, a singer backed by an 11-piece orchestra does Sinatra covers. Hidden among the well-stocked bookshelves are plenty of private corners for curling up with a mojito and a friend.

I took my boyfriend here as a birthday surprise and we had tickets to "Saturday Night with Sinatra." Steven Maglio is a great performer, and the reserved seating for the Sinatra shows are great and worth the money! The place is sort of small, but has an awesome atmosphere where you can smoke cigars and order classic, fun drinks. Big whisky and scotch selection, and I also really enjoyed the Moscow mules. Overall it feels like a classy night, and I would definitely recommend this place for dates, groups or friends, or even taking your parents for a night out.
