Cellar Bar

Parted velvet drapes reveal vaulted ceilings, plush banquettes and a backlit glass wall at this pretty boîte beneath the Bryant Park hotel. Ease into the luxe environs with one of 17 oversize cocktails, such as the Porn Starr (rum, kiwi-infused cognac and passion fruit puree with cranberry and pineapple juices), and bowls of gratis guacamole. The clientele (plenty of suits and halter tops) and music (was that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony?) aren’t quite as fabulous, but it’s a worthy trade-off for such glam surroundings.

This bar is cozy and nice for after work. I don't think I'd go personally as it doesn't draw a phenomenal crowd and is very very dark. It fits the needs of local business people though and is in the Bryant Park Hotel. Honestly not much to say!

This sophisticated, swanky, and stylish hidden gem is located below ground in the super cool Bryant Park hotel. Cellar Bar is perfect for happy hour, small groups, dates, or a party night out in this great city of ours. Dim lighting, twinkling candles, and a somewhat gothic style décor transport you to a far away, exotic, place though you are smack in the middle of midtown. There are fantastic drinks as well as delicious tapas such as spicy guacamole and chips or steamed edamame beans for you to nibble on while you are people watching or just relaxing in the chilled out vibe.

This place was so cool, we got in touch with Indi from Joonbug, and we had free entrance and free drinks all night long. It was a really good experience and i highly recommend this place and this promoter, Indi Romero

OMG had such an amazing night out with my girls.  Cellar Bar is definitely a place to go.  If you want to avoid paying cover or waiting in line all night, I highly recommend getting in touch with a promoter.  Our promoters name was Indi Romero he was amazing, he hooked us up with a VIP table and free drinks all night.  You can get in touch with him through his facebook or the Joonbug website
