Ravi DeRossi (Mayahuel) introduces a rum-punch bar and Cuban small-plates restaurant in a pastel-colored space upstairs from Carteles, his Cuban sandwich shop. The punches—like A Moveable Feast (Mount Gay Eclipse silver rum, Dolin Blanc vermouth, lime, dry French cider, bitters and nutmeg)—are all created by Charlotte Voisey (the Eldridge). Chef Luis Gonzalez, meanwhile, has created a Cuban-inspired menu that includes dishes like pork ribs in habanero-and-guava sauce.

Super cool decor, very cozy location, great drinks but a very limited menu. Not a great place for vegetarians as the options for semi limited and the plates are very small. Maybe I also shouldn't have gone when I was hungry. Nice place for a party if you can manage to snag one of the sofa areas in the back. If you're looking for a place to do a quick catch up with friends it's perfect but I don't think I'll be coming back.

On Sundays they have 1/2 price punch bowls. I used to do the Sunday funday more often here but stopped going to venture out & see other spots.

I came back the other night with a friend. To my surprise, they only have select punch bowls for 1/2 off, not on all of the punch bowls like they used to.
That made me sad because the featured punches for 1/2 were not the good ones.

Ambiance still the same. The amazingly crazy painkiller cocktail is still on the menu too.
The apps here are so good. You actually feel healthy eating them.
Service is a bit sluggish, but nonetheless, this place remains a staple for me.

Cienfeugos is one of those places that transports you out of New York. It is a small cozy den a floor off of the main street which gives the entire place a very intimate vibe. The drinks are phenomenal and the Cuban small plates are delicious; 2-3 per person should suffice. The staff is very knowledgable and attentive. There is live music during the week at supper time.
