Time Out says

Like nearby Cooper Square, this American gastropub takes its name from 19th-century industrialist Peter Cooper, who counted brewing and barrel-making (a.k.a. coopering) among his many diversions. Mounted casks decorate the rustic space, which also features a barn-plank ceiling and metal-and-wood partition separating the bar from the dining area. Choose from 24 craft beers, such as Allagash Curieux and Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, at the stained-pine bar. Thai chef Andy Yang (Rhong Tiam) switched gears to consult on the U.K.-accented menu of hearty grub, including a meat-loaf sandwich and the Irish mashed-potato-and-cabbage dish colcannon.
