Double Wide Bar

Time Out says

Dallas transplant Christen Hagan (d.b.a.) channels her roots at this Texas-style East Village bar. One side of the space sports blue-fence paneling and cutout "barn" windows lit by filament bulbs, while a gas-station-style star logo covers the back wall. Ten taps dispense a rotating selection of brews (such as Peak Organic IPA, Abita Purple Haze), plus drinkers can opt for Southern-inspired cocktails (sweet-tea-bourbon lemonade, a maple-bourbon sidecar) or sipping spirits, including a wide selection of bourbons, single-malt Scotches and tequilas. Pad all the boozing with country eats, like Frito pie, pulled-pork sliders and queso with chips.

This place has a great patio outdoors, super casual and really low-key. The indoors is a bit divey and you wouldn't expect it to have such good food, but it does! The owners are two southerners who really know how to make amazing drinks and loaded tater tots. They are also always showing football games during the season AND have a weekend happy hour. Great spot for big groups!
