This popular Midtown East happy hour hangout pours a wide selection of craft beers. On a recent visit, the brew list included Evil Twin Brewing’s American IPA, Chimay’s Belgian Dubbel and 21st Amendment’s American Lager. If drinking just makes you hungry, never fear—Draught 55 also offers everything from bar snacks to full dinners. Order some deep-fried pickles with honey-mustard ($8), scotch eggs with IPA sauce ($11) or pastrami reuben spring rolls to share with friends ($12), or go all in on one of the larger appetizers like the country-fried chicken and cheddar biscuit sliders ($15) yourself for a light meal. For dinner, you might order a bacon bleu burger with candied jalapeno marmalade ($17), port wine–glazed short ribs with kumquats ($25) or a brown ale meatloaf with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes ($17). If you still have room for more, there’s always the banana bread pudding ($8) or the fried apple turnovers with walnut sauce ($8) for dessert.
