While other Meatpacking District hot spots have gone upscale, one pioneer soldiers on with vintage furniture, creaky mahogany floors, affordable drinks and Top 40 tunes spilling out of its doors. A wide selection of bottled beers (like Peroni and Stella) and high-octane mixed drinks (such as the still-popular appletini) place Gaslight among the most relaxed hangs in this glitzy corner of the island.

This place is a go-to bar in Meatpacking when you are looking for a place where you don't have to stand in line and have a drink, or dance with friends. It's a no-judgement type of establishment. Don't come here looking for an upscale bar. It's an average bar, that will always welcome you in and/or keep the night going once you've left another spot. It's also spacious, so great for large parties.
This must be the worst bar in New York. The waiters are sullen and rude. No atmosphere and food to cry for.....
The most miserable and rude staff in the whole of NYC. One little man serving actually threw a tantrum because we had the audacity to sit down without begging his permission. Do yourself a favour, steer clear, go to the village and find a real bar.
The best in fun and music entertainment. You can really let your hair down in a safe and secure environment. Drinks are reasonable and finger foods are tasty. Be prepared to have "FUN"!!!!!!!!!!!!
