Restaurant Il Bagatto’s bar has a woodsy feel; a ceiling of tangled branches hovers above patrons who sip from an impressive, Italian-heavy selection of 35 wines by the glass and more than 150 varieties in bottles. A fruity Falanghina Feudi di San Gregorio or a full-bodied La Sala Chianti Classico is the perfect accompaniment to the complimentary taralli, crunchy bread rounds that look like miniature doughnuts. The small menu of snacks changes seasonally. In the fall, options include a tart of porcini or potatoes; the pizzella, a fried tomato-basil mini pizza, is available all year long. The long communal table in back is great for meeting fellow wine lovers.
