Big Blue Burger at Juniper Bar

Named after the deep blue juniper berry, which is used to give gin its distinctive flavor, this upscale bar taps into both that visual color palette and that boozy focus. Here, off-duty midtowners can find happy-hour specials like Ithaca Flower Power IPA and blueberry-lemon gin-and-tonics, which are soaked up with culture-crossing barstool eats like lobster tacos, cheese-steak spring rolls and edamame hummus.

Was here for a professional development event and found the space to be quite conducive to networking! They were also kind enough to work with my organization and provide drink tickets for the first 50 people there to get either a beer or wine (given it was a weekday). I really enjoyed the service and the overall atmosphere of the bar.

Juniper is a great alternative to the usual midtown hustle and bustle, and their basement lounge was the perfect scene for our girls' night. Bartender was knowledgable and took our special request for a specific cocktail (and nailed it). We also had the tacos and truffle fries, all of which were incredible delicious. Tacos at lounges tend to be tiny and lacking fillings, but the ones at Juniper were totally worth it (and great for sharing). Definitely noted for our future cocktail-seeking!
