Kent Ale House

Marvel at views of the Manhattan skyline while knocking back a cold one at this bar near the Williamsburg waterfront. Twenty-seven draft lines pour craft brews like Kings County Brewers Collective Helles Kitchen ($8), Sixpoint Brewery Sweet Action Cream Ale ($7) and Brooklyn Brewery Sorachi Ale ($7). Snack on pub food favorites like Philly cheesesteak rolls ($9), fried pickles ($5) or chili cheese tater tots ($9). Entrees include the Grown-Ups Grilled Cheese with pulled pork, pepper jack and arugula ($13), beer-battered fish and chips ($15) or a build-your-own burger ($12 for a beef burger, $11 for a veggie burger, $16 for a bison burger). Now all that’s missing is the big game, which you can likely find on one of the four flat screen TVs behind the pre-Prohibition mahogany bar. Kent Ale House regularly shows everything from Monday Night Football to soccer matches to MMA fights.

Tastemaker

Came here with two friends before dinner on a Monday evening, we got drinks and sat outside. I really like this area because there is a nice mix of really fancy nice restaurants and bars mixed in with reasonably priced ones (like this one) It's a great place to grab a drinks, with a large or small group.

Stopped by this bar en route to a show at the House of Vans down the block.  Cozy bar with some tables and multiple TV's for sports.  Very good selection of draft, bottle, and canned brews.  The waiter, seeing that I was bit warm from the 90 degree temperature outside, instantly offered me some water.  A kind gesture, that was rewarded in his tip later.  I went for cans of Pilner Urquell and they were large and delicious.  The jumbo wings were also large and delicious. If you're in the area, definitely come by and you won't be disappointed.
