The place doesn’t try to be the most popular one in the ’hood; in fact, part of its appeal lies in the offbeat location and obscure entrance. It’s easy to miss: Look for a doorway that is marked by a sign that reads only "bar", then follow a cement-gray hallway leading to a heavy wooden door. Past that is a space decorated with concrete, heavy wood and exposed-brick walls. The glassed-in mezzanine level for smokers provides a perfect stage for voyeurism or exhibitionism or both.
