Time Out says

Most rooftop bars rely on their expansive vistas to woo the crowds, noting the sky-high vantage as the main attraction. For Magic Hour, the spot from TAO Group that crowns the Moxy Times Square hotel, its view of midtown and the Empire State Building is just a footnote. The team plays up the idea of an “urban amusement park” in its palatial 10,000-square-foot space, with rotating carousel seating, a topiary garden and Foreplay, a putt-putt course filled with animal statues in NSFW positions. In addition to its playfully named cocktails, like All Spice No Drama (Bombay Sapphire, strawberry shrub, allspice dram, rosemary), the bar also serves small plates like duck carnitas tacos.

Newest and Largest rooftop in NYC which incorporates a flirty mini golf setting for aficionados. I visited this rooftop venue during their first weekend and I have to say I was totally pleased with their decor including the addition of a carousel right in the center of the rooftop. At the time the terrace had been partially covered  due to inclement weather; however, the west wing of the venue offered close views of the Empire State Building and its surroundings. I loved my cocktail choice which contained rum, red bull and ginger beer along with an edible flower. We were there for only a short period of time but I already look forward to visiting again in the hopes of finding the entire rooftop exposed to the elements. I can't crave enough rooftop settings and all year round open venues such as Magic Hour Rooftop & Lounge. They are conveniently located within walking distance from Times Square. It's only a couple blocks walk. Their shiny bar counter was the one element that drew my attention the most. It's sleek, playful & great for picture taking with light reflections. I give this rooftop a 10 rating. Awesome taste, rich menu when it comes to booze selections and an overall great staff that make sure things run smoothly...DRINKS UP IN THE NYC AIR...Cheers!!!
