Because real drinkers don’t take holidays, this place is open 365 days a year. The dark oak-and-mahogany bar, with 12 beers on tap, reels neighborhood and after-work crowds. Other pubs along Third Avenue seduce the frat pack with video games and pool tables, but McCormack’s is strictly old-school, with faux-Tiffany lamps, dusty knickknacks and free finger food at happy hour. And when the TVs are tuned to a rugby or soccer game, this is the rowdiest spot around.
