Come for the beer (they’ve got a 99-label strong collection that includes brews like Chimay and Duvel) and stay for the chicken? The “Wing Ding” special promises two hours of unlimited, wings, fries and booze for just $22. It’s a fine distraction…assuming the 15 flat-screens don’t do the trick.

Mudville 9, a American Tribeca staple has been family owned and operated since 1977. In 1991, the concept we would follow for the years to come was born. The menu back then was comprised of 10 flavors of chicken wings, hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. We have since expanded the menu to include a large assortment of American bar and grill food including ribs, wraps, salads, starters and more.

From the outside, the restaurant does not look like much, but on the inside you discover a typical american restaurant. There is wooden furnitures and big screens with a different sport on each of them. The menu is composed of american dishes like ribs or burgers. You can make your own, they are really tasty and generous. Also the lemonade is perfect, not too sweet. Waitresses are adorable and nice, but the food took a lot of time to come over. The only thing I didn't like was the temperature in the restroom, it was so cold!

Somebody took a Murray Hill bar and plopped it down in the middle of Tribeca.

Mudville 9 is a bit of an oasis in a sea of otherwise stuffy, pretentious, scene-y bars in the area. A true sports bar that does the essentials right. Lots of TV's, standard bar eats, and a draft list that's actually way more impressive than it needs to be (not that I'm complaining).

And I'm sure you've heard about their "Wing Ding" special. $22 for unlimited wings/brews for what I believe is 2 hours. Don't worry though, the wings come with celery which negates the rest of the calories. Basically it's a salad.

If you are looking for a place to have beers and nibble on mediocre bar foods....this is your place.

Venue:  (3/5) basic sports bar. There is a bar area and seating area.  Nothing stood out to me, except I liked how the bar is located 1 min from the subway.

Food: (1/5) wings were extremely dry and small.

Pass on this place.  There are plenty of bars with good bar foods.  No reason to go to one that does not.
