What’s the best thing about being a bartender? Besides getting to overhear Tinder dates and trying to figure out who in the bar is going to get laid that night, my favorite thing is people spilling their secrets to me.
What New York bar trend do you love? Craft beer bars are blowing up. When the Pony Bar first opened six years ago, it was one of the first beer bars in New York, and it’s insane how quickly they’ve opened since then.
What’s your favorite guilty-pleasure drink? How embarrassing can we go? It’s called a Dirty Shirley, and it’s a Shirley Temple with vodka. Sprite, grenadine and vodka—all those things are disgusting, but it’s so good. I would never have the guts to order that in a bar, ever.
